The U.S. Government
and their “Three Strikes” out rule
Planes and Boats are leaving from foreign and exotic land
all over the world with their bellies full
with many of the drugs of choice for the people of the free land
in America. In order to bank roll
these
types of operations you can’t be a low level drug dealer hustling
on the street. These drug
transport operations require liquid assets and large financial
backing. The funds for these operation
are never seen in their pure form because the transactions are
executed in a seedier manner behind
the clothe of offshore accounts or foreign business transactions. Is the “Three Strike rule” or the
Habitual Offender Law fair to all U.S. citizen? Several variables
come in to play when a defendant is
facing the judge for sentencing. They may consist of the severity,
frequency, and danger to the
public of the offense.
There are many that argue that white collar offenders don’t hurt anyone
that they are no Violent
activities involve in the process.
I beg the differ because looking at the Michael Milkens of the world
are also in the illegal drug trade but that is not publicized the same way
the street criminal’s
activities are.
The Street criminal crimes are normally perpetrated by
minority or the disenfranchised of the
nation.
Their crimes are the ones that are plastered all of the
evening news and front pages of print
media such as new York Times and Washington Post. It is easier on the nation’s eyes to see a
young
minority in hand restraints than Mr. America, Mr. Baseball, Hot Dog and
Apple pie. These young
men don’t have Boats and planes to transport the large amounts of drugs in
to this country. This is
why it is a dead Give away of who’s the facilitators of the drug transport
business. The violence that
is part of the street crime culture is something that many of them was born into
and has become a
way of life with their
trade.
The incarceration for the two crimes are a sad subject to
many because many of the laws have been
specifically doctored to punish the
lest fortunate more than the wealthy.
